Time for military threat against independent countries over

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi on Sunday condemned Trump’s threat to use the military option against Venezuela, and voiced Tehran’s opposition to any foreign interference in the domestic affairs of Caracas.

Ghasemi also underlined the need for respecting the sovereignty and independence of other countries within the framework of international laws and regulations.

"As the previous experiences in the world and the modern political history have proved, the time is over for resorting to military threat and pressure against independent countries in order to force them into accepting illogical and illegitimate demands,” he noted.
