Navy comdr calls for activating Iran's geopolitical capacity

Khanzadi made the remarks Monday addressing the opening ceremony of the 20th Iran International Maritime and Offshore Technologies Exhibition (IRANIMEX2018) held in Kish Island, in the Persian Gulf, south of Iran.

'Due to existence of waterways and interconnections among three continents, having the richest sources of energy and being dominant in world trade, the region can be the center of power, wealth and dignity,' the military commander said.

He also referred to Iran's capabilities in land, sea and air fields, urging use of these capacities.

These characteristics are obstacles for enemies so their efforts to sanction Iran face defeat, he added.

Some 240 domestic and foreign guests are to demonstrate their latest products and services at the international exhibition to create investment opportunities, demonstrate latest industrial achievements, naval, port and off-shore facilities and installations.
